Angélique Serna, born on February 25, 2005, started playing the accordion at the age of 5 with her teacher Florine Juvet.
One year later she joined the La Roche accordion club. Already at that age, she had a passion for this instrument. In 2018, she decided to join the JAO, a group of young musicians from all over Switzerland.
She has won the Swiss accordion competition a total of 5 times, participating in duo and solo categories. In April 2022 she also won the final of the Swiss Youth and Music Competition in the canton of Zürich. In May 2021 she participated in a selection for the accordion world cup and was successfully selected. She went to Munich in October 2021 for her first international competition where she came 10th. Thanks to the support she receives and hours of work she will compete again at the world cup in October 2022 which will take place this time in Zofingen.
She is currently studying accordion with Julien Tudisco in parallel to her studies at the Collège Sainte-Croix in Fribourg. She also started piano lessons with Eugenia Rody at the conservatory a year ago. Angélique devotes most of her time to all kinds of musical projects, whether in solo groups or in duos, and loves to share music with an audience.
